Mrs Klemm's invitation was followed by many, many participants, especially those who love coffee and cake like to come to the restaurant „Pannebäcker“. In that region, this restaurant is well known for their delicious cake. We Eurasier owners therefore like to walk our dogs there because afterwards there might even be room for a second piece of cake.
This first Sunday in June was very hot and humid, but, still, approx. 20 Eurasiers wanted to come. Due to a traffic jam on the autobahn, one or the other did not make it on time, no problem: Those who knew that region, just walked the opposite direction and we all met somewhere inbetween.

Because of the heat, instead of taking the longer route, everybody decided to take the shorter route that was initially meant for the puppy owners. It was too cute to watch two little puppies, A-Laika and Baica, who were both 11 weeks old, and little Arras, just 4 months old. A joy to see them romping and playing. On the way back, Arras chose to have a special cool-off: First he went into the mud up to his back, then he rolled in the sand. His cool-off ended by being washed in the clear water by his owner. In the restaurant we could choose to sit either inside or outside. There was plenty of cake on offer, so were coffee and cool drinks. We will come again on the first Sunday in December! (The walk in Wesel in September does not take place, then we all meet in Rieden/Eifel). |
