A walk at Dobel (Northern Black Forest)

Such a hearty and stormy greeting after having been away for soooo long (approx. 5 minutes)

The walk in Dobel took place on June 21. The weather was pleasantly warm - the air way up in the hills cannot be compared with the hot and standing heat in the Rhine valley, from which we had just hiked up. Once again, Dobel - a beautiful spa because of the good air  as well as a mountain towering over Herrenalb in the northern part of the Black Forest - presented itself in its best light.

If I counted the mingling people and Eurasiers correctly, there were 11 (or 12?) Eurasiers with their two-legged families, who had gathered at our meeting point. It was a pity that many of our regular guests could not make it due to other obligations in school or other activities.

After 200 meters, our Eurasiers could be let of the lead and could run around to their heart's delight. They enjoyed rolling in the grass or in the mud, while their humans exchanged their most recent Eurasier stories with just as much pleasure. And so we walked through the lovely  forest, passed huts and bizarr formations made of stone, and finally came back where we had started off: the Cafe' Talblick (a coffee house named "view into the valley").

A very good adress indeed: They not only serve delicious cheese cakes, apple cakes, and other tasty varieties - they also have Black Forest Gateau, of course! And if somebody wishes to have a lovely platter with a variety of sausages and/or cheese served with bread (called "Vesper"), they have also come to the right place there.

A big thank you to family Gall, who organized and lead the walk. Meanwhile this is almost tradition and we are already looking forward to the next event there.
