On Saturday, 3 May 2003, 29 families of "officially accepted Eurasiers for breeding " (these have already passed their "Ankörung") or such Eurasiers that are still in this process, met for a special seminar concerning breeding. This was part 2 of a series of special lectures and dealt with the development of puppies during the first eight weeks: growth and character. The lecture was accompanied by many pictures of the puppies in the addressed situations. All through the lecture, questions from the audience were welcome and the audience made good use of this. After three hours, all participants went home with the insight that raising puppies in a very specific way might be a bit difficult, but the correct way of doing it can be learned and that the ZG offers its breeders a lot of help and assistance. Nobody went home without having gained a lot of insight! On the following Sunday, 4 May 2003, 79 Eurasiers and their owners met at the same place to spend a lovely day together. Mrs Marahrens presented the Eurasiers, and, as usual, pointed out relationships, and many owners found new "relatives" following the presentation. Not only puppies and youngsters could be seen, but also many senior Eurasiers in best health and condition. Additionally, all colours were present so that guests interested in Eurasiers could get a really good impression of the breed. The beautiful, warm spring weather added to the harmonic atmosphere and many lingered on after a scrumptious meal, sitting in the sun and enjoying Eurasier conversations. This was a beautiful and typical Eurasier weekend. |
