Eurasiermeeting in Thierhaupten

23 dogs and their owners met 5th July 2003 for a lovely and interesting walk. The weather was ideal for this event. Thierhaupten, situated near Augsburg, with its cloister and the adjoined restaurant, is a very good address indeed for a Eurasier meeting in Bavaria.

All Eurasiers with their families were on time and had arrived by 10 a.m. at the cloister. After welcoming everybody, Mrs Aach presented the Eurasiers in her usual style, by giving expert background information from her competent knowledge. Starting with a puppy of 4 months up to senior Eurasiers, all ages were present and it was a delight to see so many senior Eurasiers in best condition and health. Additionally, many different colours could be seen among the Eurasiers. Everybody present could get a really good impression of the breed "Eurasier".

After the presentation, the walk took place through fields and woods, far away from any frequented roads. The dogs could run free and romp and play and their owners exchanged their most recent experiences and exchanged tips and advice.

At one p.m. the cook of the cloister restaurant served a mouth-watering variety of "Bavarian specialities". After lunch, while still in the cool rooms of the cloister restaurant, many Eurasier owners made use of the possibility to get indepth information from the Head of the ZG Breeding Board, Mrs Gisela Aach, and from another important member of the Breeding Board, the "Körmeister" and Breed Inspector, Mr Alfred Müller. This event ended after the assessment of two Eurasiers.

We were especially happy that we could welcome some Eurasier owners and theirs dogs from the Eurasier Club EKW. They had found this event and the date via internet. We would like to take this opportunity to thank the Conzelmanns for designing this website and for keeping it up to date for the Zuchtgemeinschaft für Eurasier.
