für Eurasier e.V.
Every enthusiast of the Eurasier can become a member of the Zuchtgemeinschaft für Eurasier e.V.
Commercial breeders and dog-dealers are explicitly excluded
The Eurasier is still a comparably young breed. Do visit the owner of a Eurasier and experience this lovely breed within its family. Talk to the owner about his experience with his Eurasier. Be assured that every Eurasier-owner will be happy to do so (our "Welpenvermittlung", the active member in charge for the placement of puppies, can give you an address).
Our Eurasier puppies are not bred as a mass-product, which means that you will have to wait a certain time for your Eurasier. In the Puppy Info you will find information and photos of the current litters. The reports of our Head of the Breeding Board gives you information about planned litters.
By attending our Eurasier meetings and walks in your region, you will have the opportunity to talk to Eurasier-owners and to see so many different Eurasiers. This way you can get a very good impression of the breed and its behaviour. (Again, the "Welpenvermittlung" can tell you the time and place of these special events).
The breeders and the people responsible for the breeding programme in the ZG are very interested in staying in touch with all owners of Eurasiers that were bred within the ZG.
Please beware when you read offers of "Eurasiers" in newspapers, magazines or other media. If you cannot find the symbol "VDH" (for the German Kennel Club), somebody is trying to sell you a Eurasier-mongrel or one of those Eurasiers that originate from non-controlled breeders. Often enough these non-controlled breeders are rather careless concerning the mating (all kinds of other dogs than Eurasiers have been used!), and the care of the dam and sire as well as the rearing of the puppies. The behaviour of such so-called "Eurasiers" originating from non-controlled breeders outside the VDH has little or nothing in common with the unique behaviour of a true pedigree Eurasier bred within the VDH.
